Welcome to C'mon Everybody (Parenting Sheffield)
The Incredible Years team formally known as
C'mon Everybody is Sheffield's most esteemed organisation for delivering
parenting courses and programmes to promote children's social and emotional
competence.
The team consists of three Parenting
Practitioners - Fiona Brown, Sue Howard and Ann Ives. These three professionals
are probably the most experienced Webster-Stratton facilitators in the
country.
The team were the first to pioneer the
Webster-Stratton programmes in non-clinical settings outside of the USA.
We have been successfully delivering parenting and dinosaur school courses
since 1995. We have fantastic degrees of success and, if you are thinking of
attending or referring parents with young children; it is worth pondering
what makes us so much in demand.
Carolyn Webster-Stratton on P3 of her
manual offers the reasons for this when she says, "Although the Incredible Years
Parenting Programme is a structured therapeutic programme with detailed manuals,
session protocols, home assignments, and handouts, its ultimate success is
dependent on a skilled leader who tailors it to the families individuals needs.
Therapeutic principles can be manualised, but culturally sensitive and
empathic treatment cannot."
